About Me

Here is just a little bit about myself! My name is Nicholas Calikyan and I was born and raised on Long Island in Hicksville, New York. I currently attend Farmingdale State College, pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management Engineering Technology and already hold an Associate of Applied Science degree in Civil Engineering Technology from Nassau Community College. In the summer of 2016, I successfully obtained my NABCEP PV Associate credential. I see myself as a hard working, self-driven, proactive individual, who possesses a high interest in civil, structural, and solar engineering technologies.

Studying the techniques and methods involved on civil and construction engineering, I realized in the summer of 2015, that drafting construction prints and computing structural calculations for solely occupying buildings didn't satisfy me personally or professionally. However, after delving in to solar technology a little more than I had only known it to be, I gained a huge interest in the photovoltaic industry rather quickly, and was astounded by the impact it left on the environment, market, clients, and customers alike! It is a great opportunity still in its infancy that I just couldn't pass up!

I'm looking to improve my knowledge and experience in the solar world, and broaden my connections to new levels. I hope to one day utilize the methods and practices from the construction and solar industries to manage a solar corporation of my own, and lead by example for future generations to come. Please don't hesitate to get in contact with me! All questions and comments are welcome. Enjoy the sunshine everyone!
